Staycation Day 1

Officially its day two, but really today is the first day that we all woke up together.

Cousin Madison, Uncle Todd, Auntie Shelley, and Grammie are all here in town and we have a whole host of activities planned for the week. This OCD, Type A, has it all planned out. Every minute of every day. All the meals, all the activities, even potty breaks. (kidding about the potty breaks)

Throwing a wrench into the plans for the day, (and I say this loosely because really the plan for this first morning was to just chill and relax before heading to Phil's BBQ at 11 for lunch.) was the fact that Uncle Todd threw out his back. Fortunately I was able to contact one of my chiropractors who graciously offered to come in to the office on Sunday to try and align him.

While waiting for Todd to finish, the kids ran around the office complex...which I assumed would be empty on a summers Sunday morning. I was wrong. All of the cavorting got us busted. We were politely asked to keep it down, knowing that keeping 3 kids 4 and under quiet, after they were all wound up would require an act of God, we decided to send ahead a scout party to Phil's.

Ah, Phil's, who doesn't enjoy BBQ? Certainly none of us!!!!

(Evan by the way is eating like a crazy man. I think he has found his "hungry"!!!!!)

We spent the afternoon playing in the yard,

Ryan also worked on his sudoku skills.

Of course in this family there was LOTS of reading!!!

Now, all the kids are in bed, and all the grown ups are catatonic trying to decide if they can stay awake long enough to watch a movie.
